HOUSTON -- A man found shot in a west Houston neighborhood has been identified as a prominent former Houston attorney, KPRC Local 2 reported Friday.
Scott Lassetter, 52, was pronounced dead Friday morning.
Officials said they believe Lassetter was sleeping when he heard some type of noise and may have stumbled upon a burglary.
He was found shot in the head by two men who came to clean the pool at a home in the 12300 block of Old Oaks Drive at Frostwood in the Memorial area on Wednesday at about 11:30 a.m.
No suspects are in custody.
"He was just a very nice man, always very pleasant -- very easy to deal with," attorney Joe Jamail said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
