HOUSTON -- A man pretended to want to make a withdrawal from his account before he made an illegal withdrawal from an entire credit union, investigators told KPRC Local 2.
FBI officials said a man asked a teller at the Smart Financial Credit Union in the 1100 block of Kingwood Drive about making a withdrawal about 11:20 a.m.
Investigators said the man then pulled out a pistol, pointed it at the teller and demanded money.
The teller handed over cash and the man fled on foot, officials said.
The man was described as white, 30 to 35 years old and 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and a white cap.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
