A 2-year-old girl has lost her fight against cancer on Tuesday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Layla Grace Marsh died from stage-4 neuroblastoma, a cancer normally found in children or infants.

Her family is preparing for her funeral, but people across the nation are saddened by her death.

Layla's story was spread through social networking sites, and benefits were held to help pay her medical bills.

Layla's parents said they hope their story will urge parents to get their children simple urine tests to make sure their children don't have neuroblastoma.

Chuy's on the Northwest Freeway near F.M. 1960 will hold a benefit for Layla's family on Tuesday. It will be held from 4 to 10 p.m. and all tips received in the bar will be donated to the family. The restaurant will also match the gift, up to $3,000.
