HOUSTON -- A Montgomery County woman is hoping someone can help her find her two "babies" -- two puppies that were stolen during a recent break-in, KPRC Local 2 reported Friday.
Two five-week-old Whippet puppies were stolen Wednesday from a house in Conroe.
Nancy Colson said she came home and two of her seven baby Whippets were missing.
Their puppies' mother is lost without them.
"Whippets have big, soulful eyes. And she is just kind of laying around. I think she knows," Colson said.
The burglars came in through an unlocked window, tore back a screen and came inside, she said.
"They went through drawers, dumping out drawers, wiping counters off all over the floor. (There was) no damage to be honest, but a laptop and Wii game (were also stolen)," Colson said.
Colson and her husband have made fliers to find their puppies. They are worried about the puppies' survival because they need their mother.
Nancy Colson estimated that each dog is worth about $500. She had planned to give them homes through friends.
Colson said she will give a reward and not ask any questions.
"They're my babies. We don't have any kids. They're pretty much my world. They could have anything else in my house but my animals," she said.
