Deputies Say Suspect Used False Information To Get Credit

HOUSTON -- Investigators say he handed over fake information to get credit to buy vehicles; now the Harris County Sheriff's Office Auto Theft Division needs your help finding him.
Avery L. Germany, 39, has been charged with three counts of using false information to obtain credit.
In January of 2006, Avery Germany went to the Auto Plaza Car Dealership on Richmond Avenue and gave the dealership his name, date of birth and a Social Security number. He was able to get financing for a 2005 Volkswagen valued at over $16,000.
In March of 2006, Germany went to Stubbs Cycles located on the East Sam Houston Parkway. He gave them the same information he provided to the Auto Plaza Dealership and was able to purchase a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle valued at over $32,000.
In April of 2007, Germany went to Champion Chevrolet on the Gulf Freeway and gave them his name; date of birth and a different Social Security number that one he had previously used. He was able to purchase a 2007 Chevy Tahoe valued at over $42,000.
Auto Theft Investigators launched an investigation and discovered the Social Security numbers Germany used to purchase the three vehicles were not issued to him.
Germany was arrested in May but posted bond. He was scheduled for a court appearance on August 19, 2009 but didn't show up.
Germany is 6 feet tall and weighs 240 pounds. He is described to have close cropped black hair and brown eyes.
His last known address is on Saffron Street in League City, Texas.
