HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -- A 1-year-old baby died after falling into a pool in northeast Harris County, Local 2 reported.

Investigators said the boy's grandmother was watching him and two other young boys in a home on Amy Brook Court and Laurenwood Court on Wednesday.

Shortly before 4 p.m., she said she was cleaning up after their snack. Five minutes later, when she did not hear the children anymore, she noticed the patio door was open.

She found the child floating in the pool.

When emergency crews arrived, they performed CPR. The boy died at a hospital about an hour later.

The baby's name has not been released.
