A 43-year-old man aboard a ship near the Texas coast was airlifted to a hospital after crewmembers say he sustained broken bones in a fall.

A news release from the Coast Guard says the man was airlifted from the Sicily motor vessel at about 11 a.m. Wednesday. The ship was located about 28 nautical miles southeast of Galveston.

Footage taken by the U.S. Coast Guard shows the immobilized man being hoisted into a MH-65 helicopter while on a stretcher.

The unidentified man was taken to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Houston where his condition had not been made public.
