HOUSTON -- A woman was found dead inside a northeast Houston business, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Houston police said officers went to a money transferring business on Fulton Street near Boundary Street on Friday after customers couldn't find anyone at the front desk.
Houston Fire Department personnel forced their way into a locked office and found a woman's body.
The woman suffered severe head and face trauma and appeared to have been strangled, police said.
Detectives said they believe the motive for the killing was robbery.
The woman's name has not been released.
