Harris County homicide investigators said they have arrested two teenage boys in connection with the slaying of an 18-year-old woman who was found dead Friday morning.

The slaying occurred in northwest Harris County in the 2500 block of South Camden Parkway near Veterans Memorial, police said.

Investigators said Jubelle Serano was home with her 6-year-old sister when she heard someone trying to break in.

Deputies said she called her boyfriend, who drove to the house, but couldn't get in.

When investigators arrived, they rushed inside only to find the victim dead from a gunshot wound.

The 6-year-old sister wasn't hurt, police said.

On Friday, investigators located two juvenile suspects who police said admitted to attempting to break in to Serano's home. The shooter has not yet been determined.

Police said that both have been charged with capital murder and have been placed in the Harris County Juvenile Detention Facilities. Since they are minors, their names are being withheld.

Anyone with additional information regarding this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
