UPDATED: 10:16 am CST November 3, 2009

A man is wanted in connection with the robbery of a northeast Harris County loan store, KPRC Local 2 reported Tuesday.

Harris County sheriff's deputies said a man walked up to the clerk of the E.Z. Money Loan Store in the 9600 block of North Beltway 8 East at about 4:20 p.m. on Oct. 23.

Investigators said the man gave the clerk a note demanding cash or she would die.

The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the man left the store on foot, officials said.

The man was described as black, 19 to 25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, 240 to 250 pounds with a thin beard. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, blue jacket, sunglasses and a black and white striped baseball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
