Woman Arrested In Man's Slaying

Brenda Fay Nelson Accused Of Killing Perry Joshua Barefield

HOUSTON -- A woman has been accused of shooting a man to death, KPRC Local 2 reported Tuesday.

Houston police said Perry Joshua Barefield, 52, was found dead in a vehicle in the 14000 block of Mary Kay Lane at about 6:45 a.m. on Sept. 13.

Investigators said Brenda Fay Nelson, 50, shot Barefield in the torso.

Nelson was arrested on Monday without incident. She has been charged with murder.

Police have not released the suspected motive for the killing.
