Police need help to find the person or persons who shot a man to death in southwest Houston, KPRC Local 2 reported Monday.

Houston police said Quincy Thompkins, 27, was found dead in a driveway of a vacant house in the 2900 block of Westerland Drive at about 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 25.

Thompkins had been shot multiple times at close range, police said.

Residents said they heard five to seven gunshots at about 11:50 p.m. on Sept. 24. Witnesses said they saw a car and a truck speed away from the area.

A large amount of money was found on Thompkins' pocket, officials said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
