HOUSTON -- A man robbed a bank and used a stolen pickup truck to get away, investigators told KPRC Local 2 Wednesday.
FBI officials said a man approached a teller at the Wachovia Bank in the 200 block of West 20th Street at about 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday.
The man held up a note that indicated he had a gun and wanted money, investigators said.
Detectives said the teller gave the man some loose cash and he left in a green Ford F-150 pickup truck that was being driven by someone else.
The pickup truck was found at an apartment complex a block away from the bank about an hour later, officials said. It had been reported stolen from a north Harris County subdivision earlier in the afternoon, detectives said.
The man was described as black, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 150 pounds with a slender build and clean-shaven with sideburns. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black T-shirt, jeans and tennis shoes.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
