HOUSTON -- A man nicknamed the "Billy Goat Bandit" is wanted in connection with a bank robbery in Houston, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Security cameras captured the man robbing the First Convenience Bank located inside the Kroger Store at 11701 South Sam Houston Parkway Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators gave him the nickname because of his unique scraggly beard with extra long chin hair.
Police said the robber showed a bank teller a note, but the teller was unable to read the note because the bank robber's hands covered the wording. They said the man got frustrated and said he was the robber and demanded money.
He got away with an undetermined amount of cash and was last seen walking across the Kroger parking lot.
No one was hurt in the robbery.
The bandit is described as a black male, 25-30 years-old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with an average build. He wore a dark blue baseball cap, a white T-shirt, and grey pants with a dark blue strip down the leg.
Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading up to an arrest. The Crime Stoppers phone number is 713-222-TIPS. Or you can call the Houston office of the FBI at 713-693-5000.
