HOUSTON -- A woman has been charged in connection with a collision that killed two people, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Houston police said Nadia Elizabeth Munoz, 20, was driving a Jeep northbound in the 5000 block of South Lake Houston Parkway at about 3:20 a.m. Friday when her vehicle was rear-ended by a Nissan Maxima.
Investigators said Munoz veered into oncoming traffic and hit a Chevrolet Lumina.
Two males, whose ages and names have not been released, who were inside the Lumina were killed.
Munoz was detained for questioning and ended up being charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter.
The driver of the Maxima fled the scene, police said. Detectives said they contacted the driver and she agreed to return to the scene, but she didn't. Investigators have not released her name, but said she is wanted.
