Sketch Released In Teen's Sex Assault

Girl, 16, Was Sexually Assaulted At Apartment

POSTED: Tuesday, October 6, 2009
UPDATED: 6:38 am CDT October 7, 2009

A composite sketch was released on Tuesday of a man who sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl in her northwest Harris County apartment.

Police said a girl got off a school bus at her apartment complex in the 7700 block of West Little York on Sept. 1 when she was attacked as she opened her apartment door.

The attacker pushed the girl into the apartment, where he sexually assaulted her, police said.

"He was seen in the vicinity or walking around in the apartment complex earlier that day," said Alvarez Wagner of the Harris County Sheriff's Office. "So, if there's anyone that lives in the apartment complex, (they) can come forward if they have any idea of who this person might be."

The man was described as a black man, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing a white muscle shirt and denim shorts.

Anyone who recognizes the sketch is asked to contact the Harris County Sheriff's Office at 713-529-4216 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
