PEARLAND, Texas -- A Pearland mother is dead and her husband is accused of killing her, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Pearland police said Ling Feng, 39, was killed in her home in the Shadow Creek Ranch community Monday afternoon.
Police said Donghai Yu, 43, was upset when he called 911. When police arrived, they said he was standing in the front yard with a knife in his hand.
"He advised the 911 operator that he believed he had just killed his wife," Lt. Onesimo Lopez said. "When officers arrived on scene, officers found the male suspect outside with blood on him."
Officers said they found Feng on the kitchen floor, stabbed in her upper body between 15 and 20 times. She was flown to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Neighbors said the two had a 12 year old son. Police said the son was checked out at the hospital and was released to the suspect's sister and her husband.
Police said they have no record of domestic violence calls from the address.
Yu has been charged with murder. His bond has been set at $400,000.
