HOUSTON -- A SWAT situation at a north Houston home Thursday has ended, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Houston police said three men broke into a home on Hammock Street near Fulton Street shortly before 8 a.m.
A wheelchair-bound father and his son live in the home. One of the attackers pistol-whipped the son, police said.
The father managed to get out of the home unharmed. Two women were also at the home. They also got out safely.
The son was taken to a hospital for treatment. His condition was not released.
"It was never a hostage situation," HPD spokesman Kese Smith said. "It was a home invasion and they were looking for drugs."
Two of the attackers were taken into custody at the start of the situation, but one man remained holed up inside the home for several hours. He was taken into custody shortly before 11 a.m.
Officers went through the home to make sure no one else was inside.
Fulton Street was closed for several blocks. Residents in the area were asked to stay away from the scene.
