MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -

Twenty-one men in Montgomery County have been arrested for allegedly soliciting minors.

Montgomery County's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducted undercover work throughout May, targeting men who thought they were meeting underage children at predetermined sites to engage in sexual intercourse. The task force includes the Conroe Police Department, each Montgomery County constable's office and the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.

Investigators say the men were arrested for second-degree felony online solicitation of a minor. Some of them were also charged with possession of child pornography depending on the evidence, according to police.

"The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force will continue aggressively pursuing those that intend to victimize our children through the Internet," said ICAC's Chief Prosecutor Cindy Pulcher. "The effectiveness of this unit continues to be reflected in multiple predators arrested and charged each month. We will continue these efforts until these offenders realize that you do not prey on the children of Montgomery County."

It is unknown if the men have engaged in similar offenses before. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Montgomery County ICAC division at 936-760-6910.
