Police Say Crime Was Caught On Tape

HOUSTON -- Crime Stoppers and Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff's Office are seeking the public's assistance in locating a man who robbed the Exxon Gas Station located at 12303 Eastex Freeway.
On Aug. 19 at about 5:30 a.m., a man entered the Exxon and approached the clerk with a note. Investigators said the note demanded the clerk give him money. Fearing for his life, the clerk complied with the demand and handed the robber some money. The man then left the store on foot.
The robber is described as a 27 to 35 years old, around 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and between 140 to 150 pounds. He has short dark hair and tattoos on both of his arms and on the front of his neck.
Cameras captured the man entering the store.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information called in to the 713-222-TIPS that leads to the identification, arrest and/or charging of the robber in this case. Tips can also be sent by text message -- Text TIP610 plus your tip to CRIMES (274637). All tipsters remain anonymous.
