Gilley Undergoes Surgery After Fall

Country Singer Injures Back

Country singer Mickey Gilley will be returning to Houston for treatment after a fall in Branson, Mo., KPRC Local 2 reported Friday.

Officials said Gilley, 73, fell on July 5, injuring his back and requiring surgery.

His representative said the surgery was successful and Gilley is expected to make a full recovery.

His scheduled performances in Branson have been canceled until his full recovery.

Officials did not release details of the fall.
