20 new human West Nile virus cases reported

HOUSTON -

A total of 20 new human cases of West Nile virus have been reported in Harris and Fort Bend counties.

Fourteen new cases were reported in the city of Houston last week.

There are a total of 38 human cases in the city of Houston. The most recent cases involve:

There are 13 cases in areas of Harris County that are not inside Houston's city limits. Three of those are new.

Fort Bend County officials also reported three new cases since Friday. The patients there include:
