Two men are wanted in connection with two kick-in burglaries.
Pearland police said the first break-in happened in the 4700 block of Pecan Grove Drive near Chestnut Circle about 10:20 a.m. on Feb. 9.
Investigators said a witness told them he was standing his driveway and saw two men walking from the back yard of a neighbor's home. He then heard a home burglary alarm going off, investigators said.
The witness chased the men, but lost track of them, police said. He then went back to his neighbor's home and found that the back door had been kicked in, detectives said.
Police said other residents said they saw the men jumping fences in the area. Officers searched by ground and air, but they didn't find the men.
Nothing was taken from the home, police said.
A short time later, about noon, a homeowner in the 4800 block of Clover Lane reported that her back door had been kicked in, police said. That home is just a few blocks away from the first home that was targeted.
The homeowner was asleep at the time of the break-in, but nothing was taken, investigators said.
Detailed descriptions of the burglars have not been released.
