HOUSTON – Children's Memorial Hospital welcomed its first baby of 2015 at 12:05 a.m. Thursday morning.
Skylar Pemberton Bailey weighs seven pounds and three ounces and measures 19.5 inches long. "She's going to be a daddy's girl. She's going to be spoiled," said first time father, Enrique Temberton.
Skylar's due date was set for Jan. 3, so her parents didn't have any plans for New Year's Eve. Their night ended up being filled with quite a bit of excitement.
The couple is already dreaming about their daughter's future. "I'm going to push her to just be whatever she wants to be," Temberton said. "Don't let anybody tell you what you can't be in life."
