2 on Texas' 'Most Wanted' list arrested
Two fugitives on the Texas Department of Public Safety's most wanted list have been arrested.
DPS officials said Fredrick Davis, 25, was captured Aug. 14 in Duncanville, Texas and Carlos Rios, 22, was arrested Aug. 15 in El Paso.
According to DPS, Davis was wanted for parole violation, burglary of a habitation and violation of bond/protective order. He was arrested at a home without incident. Investigators said he is a known Crips gang member.
Officials said Rios was wanted for failure to register as a sex offender and violation of probation. He was captured in Juarez, Mexico after a tip. He was turned over to U.S. Marshals in El Paso.
So far in 2013, DPS and other agencies have arrested 25 Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders, including 10 gang members. More than $67,000 in rewards has been paid for tips that resulted in arrests. The cash rewards are funded by the Governor's Criminal Justice Division.
