Police are searching for two men who threatened everyone inside a pawn shop during a robbery.
Baytown police said the EZ Pawn in the 1900 block of Garth Road was held up about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators said the one man jumped over the jewelry counter and smashed glass cases to scoop up merchandise while the other man played lookout near the front door.
The robbers repeatedly told the victims that they would die if they moved, detectives said.
Once the men got what they wanted, they took off on foot, police said. They got more than $18,000 worth of merchandise, police said.
Detectives said they think the same men held up a McDonald's three days earlier. During that robbery, investigators said the robbers put a gun to a manager's head and told her to open the safe. They got away with about $4,000 in cash, police said.
Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call Baytown Crime Stoppers at 281-427-TIPS.
