2 men on the run after violent taco stand robbery

HOUSTON – Deputies were searching for two men after a violent robbery at a taco stand in north Harris County Tuesday night.

Investigators said four men were repairing a refrigerator near that taco stand around 10 p.m.

That's when two armed men walked up to the group wearing scarves over their faces.

According to deputies, the robbers stole the victims' wallets and cell phones. The thieves then pistol-whipped two of the men and shot another in the arm.

This wasn't the first time an employee of the taco stand was shot during a robbery.

In 2013, an employee was shot in the back by a robber, who became angry when the victim didn't respond to his demands.
