Police are working to determine why two men were shot at a north Houston apartment complex.

Investigators said the shooting happened at the Haverstock Hills Apartments on Aldine Bender and the men were taken to a relative's home at The Pines Apartments on Crosswinds Boulevard and Aero Park Drive at around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

The men were transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Police said no one is in custody.
