HOUSTON – Two men have been arrested and Houston police are asking for the public's help in finding a third man wanted in connection with an aggravated robbery.

Police said three men approached a man on June 11 in the 1000 block of Gregg Street in northeast Houston after exiting a blue Chevrolet Trailblazer.

The trio approached the man and began to speak to him. Police said one man struck the victim in his face with a pistol.

The victim fell to the ground and the other two men began to kick him while he was down, police said. The men then stole the money that the victim had on him.

Police said Keith Dorsey was identified as the person who struck the victim with the pistol and was captured that day.

John Boutte was identified as one of the additional suspects, police said. The third suspect has not yet been identified.

Police said investigators with the Harris County Precinct 6 Constable's Office filed aggravated robbery charges on Dorsey and a warrant for Boutte.

Dorsey was already on bond on June 11 out of Harris County’s 177th District Court for a pending robbery -- bodily injury charge, police said.

In October 2016, Dorsey and another person robbed a Wells Fargo bank courier in Pasadena. Police said this was part of a "bank jugging" scheme, where the suspects were watching bank customers to target for theft. This case is still pending.

Officers stopped a vehicle Tuesday evening on traffic near the Kelly Court Housing Projects in northeast Houston. Police said Boutte was a rear passenger in the vehicle.

Boutte evaded arrest on foot when the officers stopped the vehicle and was able to get away from officers. Police said the other two men in the vehicle were arrested for open warrants and narcotics possession.

Officers observed a few short hours later the blue Chevrolet Trailblazer SS from the previous aggravated robbery near U.S. 59 and 610, police said. The vehicle was being driven by Boutte.

Police said Boutte evaded arrest from officers in his vehicle, and after a short pursuit, he surrendered.

Boutte was found to have the open warrant for aggravated robbery and was in possession of a loaded handgun, police said. He was additionally charged with felon in possession of a firearm and evading arrest in a motor vehicle.

Police said Boutte is being held in the Harris County jail with no bond.

Both of the men are documented criminal street gang members from the 5th Ward neighborhood of northeast Houston, police said.

Investigators are looking for any information regarding the third unknown male suspect in the June 11 aggravated robbery.

Anyone with information about the third man or other crimes the men may be involved in is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477) or the Houston Police Department at 713-884-3131.
