2 dead in murder-suicide at SW Houston retirement complex, police say

HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating a murder-suicide that happened Friday at a retirement community in southwest Houston.

Police said a man and woman were found dead at about 4 p.m. in  the Oleander Commons Retirement complex in the 12700 block of Bissonnet Street.

According to police, a caller said their parents had shot themselves.

Linda Chang, 68, and her husband Tien-Lai Hsu, 75, both suffered gunshot wounds to the head, police said.

Authorities said Hsu was despondent over a terminal illness, so he fatally shot his wife and then himself.
