A high-speed crash in north Harris County left two people critically injured.

The accident happened around 10 p.m. Friday night. 

Police said a driver speeding south on Imperial Valley Drive lost control of the car, which jumped a curb, went into the median, and then flipped several times.

Two people were thrown from the car when it rolled over. They were both taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police said three other men were also in the car at the time of the crash, but they took off before officers arrived at the scene.

The names of the victims were not immediately released.
