2 charged in Oct. drive-by slaying

HOUSTON -

Houston Police are searching for two men they said are responsible for an 18-year-old's death in October.

On Oct. 29, 2011, Luis Armando Rodriguez was walking through the parking lot of the Royal Palace party hall at 11939 Bissonnet at around 1 a.m., police said.

An SUV drove by and someone inside fired shots at Rodriguez, detectives said. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene.

Police charged two men, Miguel Angel Rangel, 19, and Ariel Montoya, 17, with murder and aggravated assault, respectively. HPD said Montoya has several aliases, including Kevin Molina, Arial Posada and Ariel Molina.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Montoya or Rangel is asked to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
