2 Baytown residents left with life-threatening injuries after shootings

BAYTOWN, Texas – Police are trying to find the person or people who shot two Baytown residents and left them with life-threatening injuries.

According to authorities, the shootings happened near the intersection of Village Lane and Willowview Drive at about 4:36 a.m. Police said the first victim was a 29-year-old who was shot in the arm and the buttock after he ran from a group of people who started to attack him during a conversation in the roadway.

They said the second victim was a 27-year-old who was a passenger in a black Pontiac Grand Prix that came by the intersection a few minutes after the initial shooting. Police said the shooter(s) left the victim with a gunshot wound to the head.

Anyone with information about the shootings are asked to call Baytown Crime Stoppers at 281-427-8477. All tipsters remain anonymous. Details that lead to the arrest and charging of a suspect can earn up to a $2,000 reward.
