PASADENA -

Two people were arrested Tuesday afternoon for their roles in running a credit card fraud ring.

Pasadena police pulled over Lyle Hinton after he ran a red light on Pasadena Boulevard.

Police said Hinton’s passenger, 29-year-old Whitney Watson, had warrants out for her arrest. When she got out of the car, police said credit cards fell out of her pants and other cards were on the seat.

Authorities said none of the cards were hers so she was arrested.

Hinton was cited for running the red light and was allowed to go.

Police said when they were questioning Watson, she admitted that she and Hinton were running a fraud ring to buy crack cocaine.

Police later arrested Hinton at the Camden Inn Suites in Pasadena.

Both Hinton and Watson were charged with fraud and theft from an elderly person.
