2-alarm fire destroys family's home
A fire almost completely destroyed a family's west Harris County home.
Around 11 p.m. Friday, the West I-10 Fire Department responded to a house fire on Prince Creek Drive and found heavy flames coming from a two-story brick home.
The firefighters pulled a second alarm, and Westlake Fire, Cy-Fair, Community Fire, and HFD arrived to help fight the fire.
According to reports, the entire detached garage of the home burned down, including the two cars inside. The back of the house and roof were also badly damaged.
A family was home at the time of the fire, but officials said everyone managed to escape safely.
The Harris County Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the fire.
