A two-alarm fire burned at a retirement home in The Heights on Wednesday.
Houston firefighters were called out to a 10-story building on Heights Boulevard near 20th about 3:40 p.m.
The fire broke out on the fourth floor, officials said. One of the windows on the floor was broken out.
A few of the floors were evacuated and many of those residents went to the lobby of the building.
One resident was taken to a hospital for treatment for a minor medical concern, officials said.
Investigators said the fire started in a kitchen.
