Two Texas A&M University football players have been arrested, and are facing charges for their roles in a fight police said took place in April.
Deshazor Everett, 21, and Floyd Raven, 20, are charged with assault and criminal mischief. Both men are listed as sophomore defensive backs on the Aggies online football roster.
Police said officers were called to the 1300 block of Harvey Mitchell Parkway for a report of a large fight just before 3 a.m. on April 7.
Upon their arrival, officers found a large group of people at an apartment complex and two people who were injured. The victims told police they were attacked by a “large group of black males.”
According to police, the witnesses said after they parked, their vehicle was kicked and they were pulled from their vehicle. They told police the group assaulted them.
Officials said one victim was taken to a hospital for their injuries. Police said both victims received “visible injuries” from the assault. Their vehicle was also damaged.
According to police, both victims and a witness identified Everett and Raven as the suspects.
Authorities said during their investigation, both Everett and Raven admitted to being in an altercation at the complex.
Randy McIlvoy will have more on what this means for the Aggies tonight on Local 2 News at 5 and 6.
