HOUSTON -

Two men were killed in a drive-by shooting at a southwest Houston mobile home.

Houston police said a group drove by a mobile home in the 7300 block of Ashcroft Drive at Evergreen Street around 3 a.m. and someone opened fire.

"Upon arrival, (police) found several spent shell casings. Upon walking inside, they found two victims who appear to be Hispanic males -- one dead and one was transported to Ben Taub (Hospital)," said Chris Porche with the Houston Police Department.

The man who was taken to Ben Taub later died, investigators said.

The victims were sitting near a window when the shooting happened.

Neighbors said they heard gunshots fired rapidly.

"I was asleep when I heard the gunshots. I went and (hid) under my bed. I was afraid," Gloria Reyes said.

Houston police arrived minutes after the shooting and found more than a dozen shell casings from several types of weapons.

Investigators said they believe one vehicle filled with a group of people is to blame and the shooting may be gang-related. A motive is not yet known.

"We are just trying to gather leads and information," Porche said.

Investigators said they do not have a description of the vehicle or any suspects.

The victims' names were not released.

So far this year, there have been more than 160 homicides in the city of Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
