UPDATED: 2:35 pm CDT June 30, 2009

A woman was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a man inside a northeast Houston apartment early Tuesday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Houston police said Deborah Parker, 38, and her boyfriend had a heated argument outside an apartment in the 2700 block of Lorraine Street near Davis Street.

Investigators said after the argument ended, Parker and the man returned to their apartment.

Several hours later, at about 1:20 a.m., Parker went to another apartment, frantically yelling that her boyfriend had been shot, police said.

The 58-year-old man died at the scene, police said. His identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The motive and circumstances for the shooting have not been determined, police said.

Parker faces a manslaughter charge, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
