HOUSTON -- The family of a murdered wrecker driver wants action taken against their loved one's killer, KPRC Local 2 reported Tuesday.
Former Houston firefighter Barry Crawford shot and killed Steven Hardin, 27, as he was attempting to tow Crawford's illegally parked truck in 1998.
Crawford was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to 10 years of probation and restitution to Hardin's family.
Members of Hardin's family said Crawford owes them almost $13,000. His sentence included paying Hardin's mother $5 a week for 10 years and paying child support to Hardin's two children.
Crawford's probation ends on June 15, 2010.
