A man suspected of robbing several banks has been arrested, police told KPRC Local 2.

Sugar Land police said Abdul Rehman, 45, was arrested near state Highway 6 near U.S. Highway 90 after he tried to rob the First Bank in the 1700 block of Lake Pointe Parkway on Monday.

Rehman has been charged in connection with a robbery at First Community Bank in the 2700 block of Town Center Boulevard on April 18 and another robbery in Fort Bend County.

Investigators said employees at First Bank recognized Rehman from fliers police distributed.

Rehman is in the Fort Bend County Jail with bond set at $95,000.
