HOUSTON -- A van crashed into gas pumps and caught fire after the people inside escaped from a robbery scene, police told KPRC Local 2 Thursday.
Houston police said five robbed a tattoo parlor on Interstate 45 near Gulf Bank Road.
Investigators said the group jumped into a minivan after robbing the shop.
The driver ended up crashing into gas pumps at a gas station on Pinemont Drive near North Shepherd Drive. The van caught fire and the group ran away.
Three of them were later arrested. Detectives have not released descriptions of the two other people suspected to be involved in the robbery.
