Teen accused of shooting into crowd in NW Houston

Hubbard is charged with aggravated assault with deadly weapon

HOUSTON – A 19-year-old has been charged in the shooting of two men and one juvenile male last Friday.

Houston police said Darius Montell Hubbard got out of a white Jeep SUV and began shooting into a crowd of people at 304 East 39th Street on Oct. 21. Someone in the group fired back at Hubbard and struck him, according to police.

Demontrez Williams, 21, of Houston, Damien Scott, 21, of Houston, and a juvenile male, 15, suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and were transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Hubbard also suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to a hospital in stable condition.  

He is now charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
