Big beef sold for big bucks on Saturday.

The Grand Champion steer at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo's Junior Market Steer Auction sold for $300,000.

Laura McIngvale, the daughter of Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale, placed the winning bid for Yellow Jacket.

The steer's owner Christopher Barton, 12, will get $85,000. The remainder of the purchase price will go toward the rodeo's educational programs.

Last year's grand champion steer was also auctioned for $300,000.
