HOUSTON -- Big beef sold for big bucks on Saturday.The Grand Champion steer at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo's Junior Market Steer Auction sold for $300,000.Laura McIngvale, the daughter of Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale, placed the winning bid for Yellow Jacket.The steer's owner Christopher Barton, 12, will get $85,000. The remainder of the purchase price will go toward the rodeo's educational programs.Last year's grand champion steer was also auctioned for $300,000.
