UPDATED: 10:02 am CST February 10, 2009

A man is wanted in connection with a robbery at a southwest Harris County auto parts store, KPRC Local 2 reported Tuesday.

Harris County sheriff's deputies said the man asked the clerk of the store in the 14400 block of Auto Park Way for a vehicle part at about noon on Jan. 6.

Investigators said the man pointed a pistol at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, officials said.

The man was described as black, 18-25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 160-180 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white sweatshirt with small horizontal black stripes, a black ball cap with a "P" in front, black pants and black and white athletic shoes. He was seen driving away in a light green Oldsmobile, detectives said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
