Feb. 1 Show Links For 'Beyond The Headlines'

POSTED: Friday, January 30, 2009

It has been difficult to find bright spots when talking about the economy and job market. That's why on this week's show, Kim Davis brought in three to answer some questions and share important information.

Sue Cruver is the public information officer with workforce solutions. Her agency helped more than 281,000 people go to work or get a better job, including welfare recipients, veterans and ex-offenders.

Jeffrey Boney is the founder and CEO of Texas Business Alliance -- a new nonprofit working to help women- and minority-owned businesses be qualified suppliers and help create new jobs.

And Dr. Karen Otazo is an author and career management consultant. She's written four books and coaches people on everything from being a better executive to kick-starting your career. Dr. Otazo also shared three tips for keeping the job you have -- be fit, flex and upbeat!

This week's show is filled with great information for anyone who has lost a job, is concerned about losing a job, looking to re-invent themselves or finally start their own business.
