Rodeo Stage Gets Revamped

The RodeoHouston entertainer stage will have changes for the 2009 show, officials said.

The changes include the following.
  • Three walkways will extend 16 feet from the north, west and east sides of the stage so that the entertainer can get closer to the audience.
  • There will be more stage surface outside the turntable, making the stage look and feel larger.
  • More video (LED) screen space will be added for more video and graphic opportunities.
  • New header video screen will be placed above eight main video screens for more informational opportunities during the rodeo action.
  • New vertical video screen will be placed between eight main video screens to alert fans to important calls during the rodeo action (broken barriers, penalty flags, etc.).
  • Video screens will be placed around the bottom of the stage during the concert to allow performers more video integration.
  • There will be full-motion video screens behind the entertainer/band to allow entertainers to customize the video and other backgrounds.
