Missing Minister's Body Found In Bayou

POSTED: Tuesday, November 25, 2008

A Texas City minister who was missing for more than a week was found dead on Monday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Luetellie Pinesette, 93, suffered from Alzheimer's disease and was reported missing on Nov. 16.

La Marque police said Pinesette had last been seen walking to a convenience store with his grandson, Lionel.

Detectives said someone walking over the Hitchcock Bayou bridge on Monday spotted Pinesette's body in the bayou.

Pinesette's body was taken to the Galveston County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

The grandson was arrested on assault charges stemming from an argument he had with his mother after he went home without Pinesette. He has not been charged in connection with Pinesette's death.

Anyone with information about Pinesette's death is asked to call Galveston County Crime Stoppers at 409-763-TIPS.
