Two girls were injured when a sport utility vehicle crashed into their bedroom early Tuesday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

A Cadillac Escalade slammed into a home in the 15300 block of Chipman Lane near West Dyna Drive at about 5 a.m.

Two girls, ages 11 and 13, were in the bedroom that was hit. The 11-year-old hurt her neck. The extent of the 13-year-old's injuries was not released.

One of the beds was pushed into a wall and the other was covered with bricks and debris.

The girls' stepfather said police were chasing the Escalade when the crash happened.

The people inside the Escalade, which had been reported stolen, got away on foot.
