UPDATED: 1:14 pm CST November 11, 2008

A man died after he got pinned between two railcars early Tuesday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

The accident happened at the Houston regional office of Rescar Inc., on West Brentwood Street near South Brentwood Street at about 4:30 a.m.

Harris County sheriff's deputies said 58-year-old Lee Otis Ryans was standing between trains on parallel tracks when one derailed, crushing him against an adjacent railcar.

The Harris County Medical Examiner's Office said Ryans was an employee of Rescar. He died at the scene.

Rescar restores and cleans trains.

The company declined to comment on the death or the circumstances surrounding it. A spokesman said the company is conducting an internal investigation.
